The Baptist Chapel
The Baptist Chapel was built in 1876 with seating for 200 people. A schoolroom was added in 1898. After the second World War, it was used by part of the village school. In 1953 the chapel had been closed and taken over by a hosiery company (Pick's) but from 1957 until 1961, part of it was again used by the overcrowded school.
